President Li Jinyuan and Tiens Group laureled in the China Brand Convention

China Brand Convention and Promulgation Ceremony organized by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Chinese Academy of Economy, China Brand Manage Association, Asia Brand Construction Association, Chinese Commercial Times held in Xiangshuiwan, Sanya of Hainan on the 28th June 2009, government officers, representatives from media, business elites gathered together to witness this grand event of China brand.

Owing to its abundant enterprising strength, globalized development stratagem, continue self branding effort and obligation of corporate social responsibility, Tiens Group gained favour and recognition from the committee of convention, awarded numerous honors during this convention. President Li Jinyuan won the titles of “Asia Top Ten Personality of Health Care Industry”, “Top Ten Pioneers in Glorious 60 years China Health Care Industry”; Tiens Group received the honor of “Asia Top Ten Leading Brand Enterprise in Health Care Industry”, Tiens brand awarded “Asia Top Ten Most Favourite Brand by Consumers in Health Care Industry”.

Brand Management Department Manager of Global Marketing Centre Wei Zhaoting, Branch Manager of Hainan of Southern China district Li Mei, received the trophys, plaques and certificates on behalf of the company, such honorable moment witnessed by representatives of excellent distributors from Souther China region.

The Honorary President of this brand convention inclusive of nine terms Deputy Chairman of National People’s Congress (NPC) of the People’s Republic of China Wang Guangying, nine terms Deputy Chairman of Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Sun Fuling, nine terms Deputy Chairman of CPPCC. The press conference entitled "Hand in Hand, Stand out in the World", regarding the current strategic cooperation between TIENS and IBM was held in Sofitel Wanda Beijing on the morning of July 24, 2009. Ms Bai Ping (Vice President of TIENS and Chief Executive Officer of China Region), Mr. Bai Feng (Vice President of Tiens Group and President of Asia-Pacific Region and Africa Region), and Ms Jiang Zhenglin (Deputy General Manager of the Global Marketing Center and General Manager of Global Information Center of TIENS), entrusted by Mr Li Jinyuan, President of Tiens Group, attended the conference together with Mr. Qian Daqun (Board Chairman and CEO of IBM Greater China Region), Hong Yuexia ( Vice President of Science and Technology Integration Sector, Global Information Scientific and Technical Service Department, IBM Greater China Region) and Mr. Yu Qian (General Manager of North Region, IBM Business Enterprise Department) and other senior executives from both companies.

Bai Feng, Vice President of Tiens Group pointed out in the address, as a domestic enterprise, TIENS has always been attaching great importance to informationization in the enterprise by holding to the global development strategy. We believe that informationization is not only an effective way to enhance our competitiveness but also the bolster for our international operation. Therefore, IT has been taken as an important tool in our business control since the establishment of TIENS in 1995. To meet the development of our business, we started the Global Information Integration Strategy, making higher demands on IT. We have invested about RMB 500 million in the informationization of TIENS so far, and great achievements have been accomplished in such sector. With the rapid development of TIENS' business throughout the world and great changes to information technology, Tiens Group makes higher demands on its global informationization system. As an exemplar of the Fortune 500 companies, IBM has advanced science and technology and solutions, comprehensive product lines, preeminent venture control ability as well as advanced experience in serving the world. At the same time, the service concept "The Success of the Client is the Success of IBM" advocated by IBM is one of the most important factors convincing us to choose IBM as our strategic partner in information construction, for this concept happens to coincide with our principle of "Customer Foremost". We will further develop an advanced and scientific global informationization platform so as to make IT system into the engine and propeller for global business development and an effective tool for dynamic management of global business. Comprehensive and optimized business processes will be carried out among executive staffs to improve the work efficiency, satisfy the customers' needs and create an all-inclusive customer service system. In terms of internal control, management tools in such aspects as forecasting, monitoring, planning, alerting and evaluating will be provided to effectively integrate various systems and resources, so as to provide real-time, and dynamical business data analysis and support to TIENS and finally make IT become one of the core competitive powers of TIENS.

At the press conference, Ms Jiang Zhenglin, General Manager of TIENS' Global Information Center, introduced the "TIENS International Health Industrial Park", the current strategic cooperative project between TIENS and IBM. The main content of the project includes: 1. establishing the intellectualized data and unified voice communication network in the park; 2. virtual integration between server and data storage; 3. a complete set of solution plan and construction of the network security in the park; and 4. relocation of the Data Center. Through the strategic cooperation on the project of "TIENS International Health Industrial Park", IBM will provide seamless and all-inclusive technical support as well as a steady and secure information framework with high reliability for TIENS International Health Industrial Park. And Tiens Group will also obtain comprehensive base platform covering such aspects as network, server, safe backup and virtual integration so as to upgrade TIENS' dynamic business service ability and consolidate TIENS' leading position in the industry.

Mr. Qian Daqun, Board Chairman and CEO of IBM Greater China Region, said at the press conference that he was very pleased to attend and witness the strategic cooperation ceremony between IBM and Tiens Group. Through cooperating with the leading company in the industry, IBM will make further progress in its service business. Qian hoped that IBM may become the strategic partner of Chinese enterprises intending to become big and strong.

At 19:00 p.m. August 2, 2009, the celebration was formally kicked off at the stadium of Tianshi College, which marked the beginning of a 3-day 2009 celebration activity for Tiens Group 14th birthday. In the days flaring with dreams and glories, nearly 10,000 friends coming from around China gathered for the ceremony. At that time their warm smiles brightened the celebration, and their friendly speeches brought people closer. Dream, glory, passion, and future were shining on their faces.

Senior executives and managerial personnel from the headquarter of Tiens Group, senior executives from regional offices, government dignitaries, and authoritative medias as well as nearly 10,000 friends from TIENS China region jointly witnessed the grand and impassioned celebration. At the beginning, accompanied by loud applause, increased upsurge of cheers, and warm and peaceful music, President Li Jinyuan, relevant officials from Tianjin Municipal Government, and Jackie Chan, the famous movie superstar, walked out of ¡°the Gate to Future¡± in the centre of the stage and waved their hands in salute to one another, bringing about a warm, touching atmosphere.
